Chloe Donnelly, Ryan Park and Rebecca Dornan have secured funding for the project from The Big Deal.
Cuts to the youth service in Clonard last year saw the loss of their Project Worker and a third of the part-time staff in the youth centre. Enough is enough. They want and deserve better and more age specific youth facilities for themselves and friends as alternatives to 'hanging about' and potentially being at risk and intend lobbying for such.
It's an eight week project and they will be asking for the views of young people on what they need to keep safe and healthy and become active citizens in Clonard.
They will compile a short report and give it to city councillors, MLA's and their MP for comment, especially those who claim to have the interests of young people at heart. Then they want to discuss the issues with them and hold them to account.
Elections are coming soon. Politicans beware. Youth About!
