Crossing the Bridges 2008/09

Clonard Youth Centre will begin a new Cross Community Project in October 2008. The partner group for this project will be Cregagh Development Association.

This is an exciting new project here at Clonard and the youth worker in charge of this project in Clonard will be Paul Dynes.

This group will be made up of young people aged thirteen and above both girls and boys.

The participants of this project will take part in a six week single identity project before Christmas and will then join up with the partner group on a weekend residential.

Watch this space for updates on the new project.

Update 28-10-08

The group is going really well at the minute. The young people are half way through their single identity programme and this week the group went off to Derry for the day. Here the group got a guided tour of the Walls of Derry and also went to the Free Derry Museum. All young people really enjoyed this day out and they learned alot about the things that went on in Derry during the tough times here in Northern Ireland.
